Do You Need a TV Licence?
Simply owning a TV doesn't mean you need a licence!
Follow the steps below to save £159 a year and help defund the BBC
When You Do Need a TV Licence:
- If you watch or record live TV on any channel.
- If you stream or watch live programs on services like BBC iPlayer.
- If you use devices such as a TV, computer, smartphone, or tablet to watch live broadcasts.
- If you record live television to watch it later.
- Even if you don’t own a TV, but you watch live TV or use BBC iPlayer.
When You Don't Need a TV Licence:
- If you only watch content on streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime, or Disney+ that doesn’t involve live broadcasts.
- If you only watch catch-up services (other than BBC iPlayer), such as ITV Hub, All 4, or My5, without live TV.
- If you don’t watch or record any live TV broadcasts on any platform.
- If you only watch DVDs, Blu-rays, or digital content that is not broadcast live.
- If you are over 75 and receive Pension Credit (in some regions, you may be eligible for a free licence).
- If you are sick and tired of woke propanganda!
